« Return to Services Index Childbirth Education Classes Beautiful Births offers BirthWorks childbirth educational classes in either a group class setting or private 1-on-1 sessions. BirthWorks is not a philosophy or a method; it is a process that helps women rediscover that: Women's bodies are designed for birth. Women know instinctively how to give birth. Babies instinctively know how to be born. Our technology based medical system can make women doubt these truths. Medical interventions should be part of informed choice, and that while interventions (like Cesareans) can save lives and help women who may not have been able to carry a pregnancy to term in years past, they are overused. BirthWorks does not teach breathing patterns or "how to give birth", rather it gives confidence in your ability and in your body to let go and give birth. Group classes are an eight (8) week series that are innovative and experimental in design.
